Introduction
BeldenLabs takes your privacy seriously. This privacy policy describes the data we collect and how we use it.
Data collected
This site detects your public IP address in order to show you your network information (approximate location, network operator, timezone). That resolution happens entirely on our own server, using a geolocation database hosted locally: your IP address is never sent to a third-party service and never leaves our infrastructure. The application stores no address either — each lookup is handled in memory, displayed, then forgotten. Like any web server, the reverse proxy serving this site keeps technical access logs containing your IP address, used to detect and block intrusion attempts, and automatically purged after 30 days.
Purpose of processing
Data is processed solely to display the information associated with your IP address. No data is used for profiling, targeted advertising, or resale.
Data sharing
No data is shared with third parties, nor sold. Because geolocation is computed locally, no request containing your IP address is sent to an external API. Matomo analytics data is stored exclusively on our server hosted at OVH SAS (Roubaix, France).
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data. Since the application builds no personal data file, these rights apply in practice to the technical access logs described above, kept for 30 days for the security of the service. Cookies
This website does not place any cookies on your browser. Matomo is configured in cookieless mode. The dark/light mode setting uses your browser's localStorage, which is not a cookie and remains entirely under your control.
